Video: Steve Hilton Wears a Mask of Opponent Xavier Becerra for Halloween to Mock His Openness to a Vehicle Mileage Tax, on 'The Big Weekend Show'
A short Fox News clip. We relied on Fox's title and one-sentence description, not a transcript.
Fox News posted a clip Saturday of California Republican gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton appearing on "The Big Weekend Show" in a mask of his Democratic opponent, Xavier Becerra. Fox says the stunt was meant to criticize Becerra's openness to vehicle mileage taxes.
This post summarizes a short video. We relied on Fox News's published title and one-line description, not a transcript, so we are limited to what the network says about it.
The description does not say what Hilton said on air, what Becerra has actually proposed, or whether the Becerra campaign has responded. We have not confirmed Becerra's position on mileage taxes ourselves. Our earlier coverage of the Hilton-Becerra race is on the site.
