Fox News posted a video segment Tuesday on a study of Apple News coverage of Republicans before the midterm elections.

The claim. Dan Schneider, vice president of MRC Free Speech America, says Apple News pushed more than 80 stories that framed the issues Republicans care about in a negative light in the lead-up to the midterms. The segment's headline puts the count at 84 negative GOP headlines and "zero positive ones."

Who is speaking. MRC Free Speech America is a media-watch group on the right. The figures are the group's own findings.

Note for readers: we did not watch the video and rely only on the text on Fox's video page, which is a short summary. It does not say how the study chose or classified headlines, over what period, or how it treated Democratic stories, and it does not include a response from Apple. We have not seen the study itself.
