Fox News has posted a clip titled "ICE official details criminal history of suspects in NYPD detective attack." Fox's page is dated Oct. 23.

This post summarizes a Fox News video. We relied on Fox's title and description, not on watching or hearing the footage, so we cannot tell you what was said beyond that description.

What Fox says. According to the description, ICE New York City Field Office Director Ken Genalo discusses the suspects in the stabbing of an NYPD detective. Fox says Genalo "highlights the prior arrests and immigration status" of the two Dominican Republic nationals involved. The description does not list the arrests, give the length of the clip or say who asked the questions.

The background on this site. Our earlier report covered Detective Jose Mercedes speaking publicly after he was stabbed, and the return of the two suspects to the Bronx on Oct. 13. As that report noted, the men are accused and are not convicted, and they were expected to face attempted murder charges.

Note for readers: this is an interview with an official from the agency that enforces immigration law, so expect that agency's perspective. We have not seen the footage.
