Fox News has posted a clip titled "Colorado mother speaks out on impact of trans volleyball controversy on her daughter and family." Fox's page is dated Oct. 23 and lists the clip at 1:11 under its sports section.

This post summarizes a Fox News video. We relied on Fox's title and description and on Fox's earlier written report, not on watching or hearing the footage, so we cannot tell you what Donalson says in it.

What Fox says. The description says Colorado mother Tanna Donalson is one of the parents whose families have been affected by a controversy over a transgender athlete on the Dakota Ridge High School volleyball team.

The earlier report. A Fox News Digital article published in early October describes four Dakota Ridge parents who are demanding answers from Jeffco Public Schools. They say a transgender player was allowed on the girls' junior varsity team while eight girls were cut. One mother said she cannot establish that her daughter would have made the team, or that a position change was linked to the other athlete's placement, and is asking the district to investigate through eligibility records, tryout evaluations and coaching communications. The coach, she said, wrote that other players "demonstrated more consistency." Another parent called for the program to be disqualified for the 2026-27 season and for coaches and the athletic director to face discipline if an ineligible player is found to have played.

Where the matter stands. Fox says it knows of no completed investigation. A Jeffco parent confirmed that a complaint was filed and that a Title IX coordinator is investigating. The school has not publicly answered the parents' allegations in the text we reviewed, and we do not know whether the new clip includes a district response.

Note for readers: these are parents' allegations about a minor athlete's eligibility, and the district's findings are not public. We have not seen the footage and are not naming the student.
