The 'Squad' Victory Fund Has Raised a Record $2.35 Million This Cycle While Refusing Money From the Fraternal Order of Police
A joint committee for Reps. Ocasio-Cortez, Omar, Pressley and Tlaib also bars corporate, lobbyist and fossil fuel money. Fox News says the disclosure does not explain why the police union is on the list.
A shared fundraising committee for four progressive House Democrats has set a record this cycle while saying it will not take money from the nation's largest police organization, Fox News reports.
The numbers. The Squad Victory Fund is authorized by Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan. Its FEC summary shows $2,351,388.02 raised in the 2025-2026 cycle, its highest total yet. Through March 31, 2026, Fox says it had spent about $1.6 million and held roughly $68,000 in cash.
Who is shut out. The fund's donor rules say it will not accept contributions from the Fraternal Order of Police. It also bars corporations, federal lobbyists and fossil fuel interests. Fox says the disclosure does not give a reason for excluding the FOP.
How the money is split. Four allied PACs are also part of the committee. Contributions are generally divided equally among the eight participants, 12.5% each, though donors can designate a specific participant. Contributions are not tax deductible, the disclosure notes.
What to keep in mind. The spending and cash figures stop at March 31, and Fox notes the committee is still active, so the totals may change. The report carries no comment from the four lawmakers or the FOP, and it does not say how much of the money came from any one donor group.
