ICE Announces Another Round of Arrests of Foreign Nationals Accused of Voting Illegally, Including a Green Card Holder Accused of 15 Elections Since 2000
The release lists cases involving Minnesota voter records and others, with people from Mexico, Haiti, El Salvador, Somalia, Germany, Canada and more. All are allegations; the agency calls illegal voting 'madness' and promises prosecutions.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement has announced more arrests of foreign nationals accused of voting illegally in U.S. elections, one day before the midterms, Breitbart reports.
The statement. "The pervasive nature of illegal alien election fraud should concern every American," ICE's Micah Bock said, according to the agency release Breitbart links. "Every illegal vote cancels out a vote of an American citizen. Each and every illegal who voted must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We will end this madness. American elections are for American citizens, period."
The cases. Breitbart lists nearly two dozen people. Among them, per ICE:
A Mexican green card holder accused of illegally voting in 15 state, primary and municipal elections from 2000 to 2024.
A Haitian national, previously convicted twice, accused of voting in the 2024 presidential election after a federal immigration judge had ordered her deported.
Several lawful permanent residents from Somalia, Lithuania, Germany, Kenya and Canada, whom ICE says Minnesota voter records show voted in 2020, 2022 or 2024. Some surrendered to Homeland Security Investigations agents after a subpoena or on their own, and one said she first claimed she had never voted, then admitted voting once.
A Guatemalan national with a final removal order accused of voting illegally in 2026, and others from El Salvador, Venezuela, Jamaica, Mexico and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, some of them in custody.
The bigger picture. Breitbart says the latest arrests are among dozens announced by the Trump administration in a nationwide voter fraud crackdown run by the Justice Department and the Department of Homeland Security. We have covered earlier rounds, including the North Carolina cases.
What to keep in mind. These are accusations announced by ICE. The names are in the release, and we have not independently checked any of the voter records or court files. Whether each person is charged, convicted or deported is for the courts and immigration judges.
