Fox News posted a clip titled "'It's disgusting': Sen Dan Sullivan calls out Mary Peltola's alleged ballot scheme," taken from its weekend show "One Nation."

What Fox says. According to the network's description, Alaska's Republican Senate nominee discusses allegations that Democratic nominee Mary Peltola's campaign recruited another candidate named Dan Sullivan to run for the Senate.

The context. The accusation traces to a New York Times report this week that Peltola's campaign and Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee aides helped recruit a same-name independent. Peltola's campaign says it had no involvement with either Sullivan campaign. The Justice Department is investigating, and Sen. Tim Scott called the alleged plot a crime on Saturday, as our earlier story reports. Alaska votes Tuesday.

What we could not check. This post summarizes a short video. We relied on Fox News's title and description, not a transcript, so we cannot quote Sullivan beyond the word in the title or say what evidence he offered. The description includes no response from Peltola. The allegations are unproven and a candidate speaking about his opponent two days before an election is a campaign voice.
