Video: NRCC Chairman Richard Hudson Says the Momentum Is With Republicans Ahead of the Midterms
Fox posted a clip from 'The Big Weekend Show' in which the House Republicans' campaign chief discusses redistricting and GOP strategy. We relied on Fox's one-line description, not the footage.
Fox News posted a video of Rep. Richard Hudson, R-N.C., chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, talking about the midterms.
What Fox says. According to the description, Hudson discusses how redistricting is affecting the midterms and previews Republican strategy on "The Big Weekend Show." The title says the momentum is with Republicans.
What is missing. The description does not say which districts Hudson means, what numbers he cites or what strategy he outlines. It gives no response from Democrats or from the party's House campaign arm.
Why it matters. The clip comes in the closing stretch before Election Day, when both parties are making claims about who has the edge in House races.
Note for readers: a title and one sentence are all we have. "Momentum" is the chairman's own framing, from the head of the party's House campaign committee, and we cannot confirm it from this description. We did not watch the video.
