# Video: Sen. Mark Kelly Tells 'The View' He Will 'Hold This Administration Accountable' as Hegseth Appeals His Censure Ruling

Breitbart posted a clip and transcript of Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., on ABC's "The View" on Tuesday, discussing his lawsuit against Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

The case. Co-host Sunny Hostin said Kelly sued after the Pentagon moved to take administrative action against him over a video he made with five other Democratic lawmakers reminding service members of their duty to refuse unlawful orders. She said a federal judge ruled for him and blocked the Pentagon from enforcing a censure, which would have reduced his rank and cut his pay. She said Hegseth is appealing and the case may reach the Supreme Court.

Kelly's account. He said "it's not about me." He said President Trump had said the lawmakers should be "hanged, executed, prosecuted" and "couldn't even get the order right," then tried to indict them, which "didn't work." He said Hegseth then tried to reduce his rank and take away his pension after 25 years of service, so he sued, and Hegseth appealed.

His argument. Kelly said the fight is for "all the other veterans and retired service members," and that "they want to shut us up." He said he would not be silenced: "You know I'll go to jail if I have to over this. I don't mind." He closed: "I'm going to hold this administration accountable."
