Fox News has posted a clip of field reporter Julio Rosas on a migrant caravan that has left southern Mexico. Fox lists it at 4 minutes 8 seconds, from "Fox & Friends First" on Oct. 22.

This post summarizes a Fox News video. We relied on Fox's title and description, not on watching or hearing the footage, so we cannot tell you what was said beyond that description.

What Fox says. According to the description, Rosas discusses the caravan, what migrants told him about the U.S. midterm elections, and whether immigration could become a bigger campaign issue. A longer description on the page says the caravan is made up of thousands of people traveling through southern Mexico toward the U.S. border, and that Rosas describes its movement and the political and logistical problems it poses for border enforcement agencies.

What the listing does not say. It does not give a headcount from any official source, name the group that organized the caravan, say where it started or where it is heading, or quote anyone in the caravan. "Thousands" is Fox's wording.

Why it matters to readers. The clip ties border politics to the final two weeks of the campaign. Fox tags it under illegal immigrants and midterm elections.
