Fox News has posted a short clip of a Washington state high school girl who gave up her season rather than race against a boy. Fox lists its length as 26 seconds and labels it an Outkick video.

This post summarizes Fox News videos. We relied on Fox's titles and descriptions, not on watching or hearing the footage, so we cannot tell you what was said or shown beyond those descriptions.

What Fox says. According to the description, Battle Ground High School sophomore Elise Bierer "walks off the start line at a cross country district meet, thereby forfeiting her season." Fox's headline says she protested "competing against a boy."

The companion clips. A second Fox video describes a runner from Camas High School who switched to the girls team midseason and "takes off at the start line against 25 girls from four different schools." Fox's headline calls that runner "a biological male." A third video features Sheona Bierer, Elise's mother, who Fox says "gets emotional" while speaking up for her daughter.

What the listings do not say. They do not name the Camas runner, quote Elise Bierer, give the date of the meet, or include a response from the school, the athletic association or the other runner. The descriptions of the Camas runner's sex are Fox's wording. Fox's page shows the posting date as October 22, with the clips going up shortly after midnight Eastern.
