Rep. James Comer has a blunt view of where Rep. Ilhan Omar fits in the Minnesota fraud story.

This post summarizes a clip that runs 6 minutes 34 seconds. We relied on Fox News's published title and description, not a transcript, so the details here are limited to what the network says about it.

According to Fox, Comer, R-Ky., discusses the federal raid on Omar's Washington, D.C. home on "Sunday Night in America." Fox says he is speaking about financial and immigration investigations involving the Minnesota Democrat. The title carries his phrase that Omar has been "right in the middle" of the state's fraud problem. The description does not include other direct quotes, and we are not adding any.

Two limits to note. First, this is a lawmaker's opinion in a television interview, not a finding by investigators. The title's claim is his, and the description does not say what evidence he cites. Second, nothing in the Fox listing says whether Omar or her office responded to his comments. Her attorneys have argued that there is no legitimate basis for the citizenship inquiry, as Fox has reported elsewhere. No charges against her have been announced in the material we read.

If you want to hear Comer's reasoning in his own words, watch the clip at the link below.
