Trump-Backed Super PAC Puts $6.3 Million Into Moskowitz's Florida District After the House GOP's Top PAC Pulled $6 Million
No Going Back PAC, backed by MAGA Inc., is spending more than $25 million on House races. The Congressional Leadership Fund cut its planned Moskowitz ads and moved $9 million to defend GOP seats.
President Donald Trump's political operation is stepping into a competitive Florida House race after the House GOP's main super PAC pulled back, the Daily Caller reports, citing Punchbowl News.
The money. The No Going Back PAC, a super PAC backed by MAGA Inc., is putting more than $25 million into House races. That includes $6.3 million in Florida's 25th district, where it hopes to defeat Democratic Rep. Jared Moskowitz. The Congressional Leadership Fund, the top House super PAC, cut $6 million in planned ads against Moskowitz and redirected $9 million to defend House seats Republicans now hold.
Other targets. The Caller says the super PAC also planned to spend $1 million in Washington's 3rd district, $1 million in Florida's 14th, $1.2 million in Montana's 1st and $85,000 in Florida's 22nd.
The race. Moskowitz faces former Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer, a Republican who served eight years and, per his campaign site, is running on "common-sense, America First policies" and against "a radical far-left agenda." Cook Political Report moved the race from "Toss Up" to "Lean Democratic," and Sabato's Crystal Ball moved its rating in Moskowitz's favor.
The map. Gov. Ron DeSantis unveiled a new congressional map on May 4 that would help Republicans gain four seats. The Caller says it was meant to benefit Republicans in the 25th, which no longer covers its former inland Broward County areas. Kamala Harris won the district 52.1% to 46.8% in 2024, the Caller reports.
The primary. Moskowitz beat a challenger to his left, Oliver Larkin, on Aug. 18, even though members of the Democratic Socialists of America had endorsed Larkin. Cook has also shifted 19 House races toward Democrats, including four Republican-held seats in Arizona, Colorado, Wisconsin and Virginia, the Caller says.
