Voters trust Republicans more than Democrats to handle migration and the economy, according to an NBC poll, Breitbart's Neil Munro reports.

The numbers. Among registered voters surveyed Oct. 28 to 30, Republicans are ahead by 11 points on migration and by 2 points on the economy. Breitbart says the migration lead exists because solid majorities support deporting all illegal migrants, including those without violent convictions. It credits Trump's enforcement for lowering the visible chaos at the border, which it says matters to swing voters.

The warning signs. The same poll shows Democrats ahead on the generic congressional ballot, 52 percent to 45 percent. Breitbart says almost three in four registered voters are unhappy with the economy, and it puts Trump's support at 40 percent and opposition at 60 percent. It also cites 29 percent of voters supporting Democrats and 38 percent supporting Republicans, without saying exactly what that question asked. Breitbart ties the discontent to personal incomes, rising costs and high gasoline prices during the war with Iran.

NBC's own read. Breitbart quotes NBC's explanation of the numbers: "Barely one quarter of voters say they're satisfied with it. Almost three quarters say they're dissatisfied."

What to keep in mind. Breitbart is openly partisan, and parts of this report are commentary rather than polling, including its description of media coverage of deportations. We did not review NBC's full poll, so the question wording, sample size and margin of error are not included here. Breitbart notes the Democratic generic-ballot edge may be concentrated in Democratic districts, which is its own view and not something we have checked.
