Tesla's third-quarter call came with a bullish message from its chief executive. Elon Musk said demand for the company's electric vehicles is running well ahead of what it can build. Fox Business reports that Tesla also plans to bring its Cybercab service to Dallas next month.

The demand claim. Musk called the quarter "very strong." "Demand is growing rapidly for our vehicles. It's exceeding our production by a significant margin," he said. He named Full Self-Driving as the biggest driver: "today there's really no competitor for FSD in any car that you can buy." These are Musk's statements, not independent figures.

The numbers. Tesla reported $28.05 billion in third-quarter revenue and 486,532 vehicle deliveries. Chief Financial Officer Vaibhav Taneja said the company ended the quarter with more than $1.5 billion in positive free cash flow and over $45 billion in cash and investments. He also said Tesla is raising its 2026 capital expenditure guidance to about $20 billion.

Cybercab. Tesla plans to launch Cybercab service in Dallas next month and expand its autonomous transportation network to more cities. A Tesla executive said the company aims to begin delivering Cybercabs to customers by the end of 2026, though Musk said most would stay in Tesla's own fleet. "Cybercab is primarily going to be something that is offered as, like, transport as a service," he said. He added that he does not think any company can match Tesla's scale in autonomous vehicles and described "extremely fast week-over-week growth in autonomous miles." Fox gives no mileage figures.

Europe. Musk said Tesla is working to take Full Self-Driving to more international markets and is hoping for EU-wide approval "maybe, you know, within a few months," while calling it hard to predict.

The merger question. Earlier this week Musk said a Tesla and SpaceX merger would be "a good idea," and both companies have formed special committees of independent directors to look at it. Asked again Wednesday, he said, "I think I said everything that should be said yesterday. Tap dancing through a minefield there."
