The head of In-N-Out Burger says the chain may be headed to three more states, but she is in no hurry, Fox News reports.

What she said. In an interview with television host Terry Crews, In-N-Out CEO Lynsi Snyder said "Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma. There are some states there that are possibilities." Fox calls it a hint, not an announcement. Snyder, whose grandparents Harry and Esther Snyder founded the company in 1948, said quality matters more than quantity. "If I ever felt like we were slipping or losing our way, growth would look a lot different," she said. She also said there is "a special peace knowing that In-N-Out isn't everywhere," and that it may look like the chain is "growing like crazy" when it is not.

Where it stands. Fox reports the chain opened its first Washington state restaurant in August 2025 and its first in Tennessee on Dec. 10 last year, its easternmost location. Tennessee now has five stores with a sixth listed as coming soon. The company said in 2023 that New Mexico will get its first restaurant in 2027, which would make it the 11th state. California has 299 locations, and Snyder said, "This is where we started, it's where we are now and it's where we'll always be."

How it operates. Fox notes the company says every ingredient arrives fresh at each restaurant and that it owns no microwave or freezer. Its beef is made into patties in facilities in California and Texas.

Note for readers: Fox says it asked In-N-Out for further comment. No timeline, cities or investment figures were given for any of the three states.
