Immigration agents have picked up two more Haitian men in Ohio in a crackdown on food stamp use, Breitbart reports, citing Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin and ICE sources.

The two men. Both have final deportation orders and entered during the Biden administration.

Icles Cerome was arrested Monday in Westerville. He crossed illegally at Brownsville, Texas, on Dec. 29, 2023, and was caught and released. A judge ordered him removed on Jan. 30, 2024. Fox was told he admitted to ICE officers that he receives SNAP benefits in Ohio.

Clairinor Duclerc was arrested Tuesday in Columbus. He entered through the CBP One app at San Ysidro, California, on March 29, 2024, and received a final removal order on Jan. 20, 2025. Franklin County has an active bench warrant for him. He told agents he lives in Ohio with his Haitian wife and their 1-year-old son, a U.S. citizen.

The operation. The arrests are part of a nationwide DHS effort that began last week. The first round took five people, four Haitians and one Cuban, and DHS called it an "opening salvo." The Justice Department says the first sweep turned up nearly $42 million in SNAP fraud and close to $45 million in total government losses.

The policy line. Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said, "These programs are for Americans only."

The other side of the numbers. Breitbart notes that about 41,900 noncitizens received SNAP in Ohio last year, per the state, which says many are lawful permanent residents. Federal prosecutors have also brought separate SNAP cases in Ohio, Illinois, Oregon, Massachusetts and Arizona.

Note for readers: the benefit claims come from ICE sources relayed by Fox and Breitbart. We have not seen charging documents for these two men.
