ICE Flags 14 More Foreign Nationals Arrested Over Alleged Illegal Voting, Daily Caller Reports in an Exclusive
Documents obtained by the Daily Caller list people from Liberia, Canada, Brazil, Vietnam, Cuba and elsewhere. They describe allegations, and the Caller says not everyone listed has been convicted. ICE says the arrests will continue.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement has arrested another 14 foreign nationals over alleged illegal voting, the Daily Caller reports, citing documents it obtained exclusively.
What the documents show. The records identify people arrested or charged in connection with alleged voter fraud and other election offenses, as part of what the Daily Caller calls a nationwide effort. It says the people come from several countries, including Liberia, Canada, Brazil, Vietnam and Cuba.
Examples. Three Mexican citizens are on the list, two of them recipients of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, according to ICE. One is accused of voting in 2022 and 2024. Another is accused of voting multiple times, including in 2016, 2020 and 2024. Three Liberian citizens, three Canadian citizens and two Brazilian citizens are also named. The charges described include unlawful voting, voting by an alien, making a false claim of U.S. citizenship to vote, and fraud. The Daily Caller says some of those listed have prior criminal histories.
ICE's statement. ICE Public Affairs Assistant Director Micah Bock told the Caller that Americans should be "furious when they see how frequently aliens vote unlawfully in U.S. elections." He added, "Each vote cast by an alien disenfranchises an American citizen's vote. The arrests will continue until every alien committing vote fraud is apprehended."
The earlier lists. The Daily Caller links this story to its previous exclusives on ICE flagging other foreign nationals accused of voting, including one posted Oct. 30.
Related. Our earlier coverage includes the Justice Department's announcement that 63 more people were charged in what it called its largest surge of voter-fraud arrests.
What we could not check. The Daily Caller says the records detail allegations and do not indicate that every person named has been convicted of a crime. We have not seen the documents, and we are not naming the individuals. Charges are not findings of guilt.
