Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has a message for the United States as rioting continues in France: do not copy Europe on immigration. He gave the interview to Fox News Digital.

His warning. "People like me who were warning about this years ago have sadly been proven right, but the problems are gonna be here for a very, very long time," Farage said. "Please, please don't make the same level of mistakes that we have." He argues that years of mass migration and weak political leadership have changed European cities and fueled the unrest. Fox says the riots grew out of education protests that turned into destruction and theft.

On Macron and Meloni. Farage said President Emmanuel Macron should have mobilized the military. "Macron was asleep at the wheel, and it isn't just that he was at a concert," he said. He praised Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who he says sent 500 troops to Milan after riots there: "Meloni's reaction was swifter and a better sign of leadership."

Britain's risk. "My real worry is they can happen in this country too," Farage said, pointing to the "same hard left" and "hate mobs" in London. He questioned whether a British prime minister would show more courage than Macron.

The border contrast. Farage said that whatever people think of Trump's policies, "He's closed the southern border." Fox adds that Trump told a Tuesday rally in Greenville, North Carolina, that he would treat any U.S. rioters "very, very rough."

The Iran angle. Fox reports that British counterterrorism police on Tuesday rearrested two men suspected of helping Iranian intelligence in an alleged plot against RAF Fairford, a base used by U.S. bombers. Authorities say Iranian involvement is "highly likely," but no charges have been filed. Farage says Iran has used illegal Channel crossings to move operatives into Britain and that he has asked for a national security emergency declaration. "If the Americans removing their bombers from RAF Fairford isn't enough warning, I don't know what is," he said.

Note for readers: these are Farage's claims and political views, as Fox reports them. Fox did not report any independent evidence for his Channel-crossing claim in this piece.
