The Department of Homeland Security has posted a Monday release naming five people ICE recently arrested in Michigan.

The framing. Secretary Markwayne Mullin said ICE officers have "arrested armed robbers, scammers, and drunk drivers" in the state and that removing people in the country illegally "is how we save lives and make America safe again."

The five. DHS lists:

Amilcar Jose Suarez Barreto of Venezuela, arrested Oct. 12 in Grand Rapids. DHS cites arrests for felony armed robbery, four counts of assault, trespassing, property damage, a weapons felony and escaping electronic monitoring. It says he entered through Texas in July 2023, was released by the Biden administration and got a final removal order in January 2025.

Sarah Jane Hulbert of the Philippines, arrested Oct. 16 in Detroit. DHS cites convictions for aggravated identity theft against a victim 60 or older, in the $10,000 to $100,000 range, and for domestic violence, plus other arrests including forgery and computer fraud. It says she was lawfully admitted in 2004, became inadmissible after her convictions and was released by the Biden administration.
