# Republicans Say a Little-Known 'American Forge Coalition' Is Mailing Their Voters Attacks From the Right, and Suspect a Left-Aligned Dark Money Front

Fox News Digital found the 501(c)(4) group, created in May and registered in Delaware, targeted six GOP races with mailers on amnesty and abortion. Its donors are not disclosed, and the group did not answer questions. The 'left-wing' claim is the campaigns' suspicion.

A new group billing itself as part of an "anti-globalist," pro-American movement is mailing attacks at Republicans in battleground House races, and GOP campaigns say they suspect it is a Democratic-aligned front, Fox News reports.

The mailers. The American Forge Coalition has sent a flurry of mailers this month accusing vulnerable Republicans of not being conservative enough. Fox News Digital found targets in six races: Reps. Mike Lawler (N.Y.-17), Brian Fitzpatrick (Pa.-1), Derrick Van Orden (Wis.-3), Mariannette Miller-Meeks (Iowa-1) and Jen Kiggans (Va.-2), plus Laurie Buckhout, who is running against Rep. Don Davis (D-N.C.) in North Carolina's 1st District.

What they say. Mailers to Lawler, Kiggans and Fitzpatrick accuse them of backing "mass amnesty" and "letting criminals escape justice." Mailers to Van Orden and Buckhout call them too lenient on abortion, with one in North Carolina saying Buckhout supports "abortions up until birth." Fox says both lines "take liberties with the truth": the three House members back the Dignity Act, which would create a path to temporary legal status for undocumented migrants who pay fees and pass a background check, but none back amnesty for people with criminal histories, and Van Orden and Buckhout position themselves as pro-life.

The accusation. Lawler's spokesman called it "a shady Democrat dark money scheme using a front group that isn't even registered with the FEC." Fitzpatrick's campaign called it "obviously a left-wing dark money group." Caitlin Sutherland of Americans for Public Trust said, "The funders behind this group are assuredly leaning left."

What is known. Records show the group was created in May 2026 and is registered in Delaware as a 501(c)(4), a type that does not have to disclose finances to the FEC. Its Wilmington address is shared by about 285,000 businesses. Its website lists no donors or leaders and pushes tariffs, a border wall and deportations of "criminals." The group did not respond to Fox's questions.

The caution. Michael Beckel of Money in Politics Reform said the paper trail is thin and the group "could well be" bankrolled by liberal donors, but that the public does not have enough to say who funds it. Fox notes similar tactics have been alleged on both sides, citing a 2024 group called "True Patriots PA" linked to former Rep. Eric Swalwell.

The stakes. Fox News Power Rankings project Democrats winning the House, 219 seats to 198 with 18 toss-ups.

Note for readers: nobody has shown who funds the group. The claim that it is a Democratic scheme comes from GOP campaigns and allied groups, and we could not confirm it.
